State Bank of India (SBI) Latest jobs 2018-2019 notification : Public sector lender State Bank of India (SBI) is likely to open heavily on job placements. The bank said about 9500 junior assistants will be appointed. They will use this for customer support and sales functions. Banking sources said this is the biggest recruitment in the bank since 2013.
With the introduction of voluntary retirement scheme after the merger of SBI and its subsidiary banks, the number of bank employees in the quarter fell by more than 10,000. Furthermore, administrative staff has also been reduced in the bank as it introduced digital banking and direct processing. But the need for customer facing employs is more likely. The bank has issued a statement to clearer grade positions across the country.

By the end of September 2017, bank employees were reduced to 2,69,219 people. Earlier this year, bank employees were 2,79,803 employees. That means 10,584 employees are downgraded. Banking officials said that the regulatory requirement was required to appoint more entrepreneurial staff. Most of the appointments will be in Uttar Pradesh and will soon be in Maharashtra
